I have been working at Panda Express full-time for less than a year

Pros

Nice gym, discounts, plenty of learning opportunities and classes, stock options, 401k, health/dental/vision, team building events, halloween contest, easter celebration, leadership conferences in hawaii, nice coworkers.

Cons

Almost everyone was hired as a temp or contractor at some point. They will evaluate you for a long period of time before they hire you. You have to prove yourself that you're worth it.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be truthful when you say we have a safe and empowering environment. Not everyone on the senior management team are open to take criticism. Stop the micromanaging!

I worked at Panda Express full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Starting pay for GM is $43,000. Slightly above industry average.
However, you are selling your soul for a paycheck.

    Cons

Very, very long hours. Expected to work 14 hours shifts 4 days a week and only getting 1 day off. Average work hours per week is 60+. expect to work open to close 7 days a week if the owner is visiting your area. Area coaches will work you to death so that he/she will look good in front of the owner/RDO/ZVP.
Terrible work environment. Senior management cares about the buttom line and for a company with a core value of people they do not live up to their own value.
Often asked to attend classes like Landmark/Creeser on your own expense. If you don't go you will get passed for advancement.
When you are transferring to a different store, be prepared to wipe some serious ass.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do the right thing and tell the truth and not sugar coat anything. Talk straight.

I have been working at Panda Express part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The employees are friendly and easy to get along and the managers is great to work with. For someone who just started to work for the first time, this place is a good place to start off. It gives you a taste as to how to meet customer demands and above all team work.

    Cons

It can become very busy and stressful.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
