I worked at Panera Bread for more than 10 years

Pros

Great concept to work for. If you have the chance build your own team from within and avoid being set with a team.

Cons

Jvp's are greedy. All about numbers not about people.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe background checks on staff as we'll. It appears panera hires drug uses and then promotes them. No background/ drug checks on those promoted from within.

I worked at Panera Bread full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Strong presence in the community across the country. Good benefits and in-office perks. Clean environment. Generally nice co-workers in the building.

    Cons

Poor communication between departments, emphasis on work quantity over quality, does not reward exceptional employees or work to retain them at all. Company growing too fast without building strong foundation.

I have been working at Panera Bread part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Some stores are very understaffed so its easy to pick up hours.

    Cons

Only offer part time, the only people allowed to achieve 40 hours or more are managers. You get sent home if you hit 37 hours. A lot of time on your feet standing in one spot.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give benefits or raise salaries more often. Hard work is not rewarded enough so it becomes discouraging. More hours or a small raise would keep the motivation.
