I worked at Papa John's part-time (more than a year)

Pros

Most managers will let you eat the delicious pizza for free, hours aren't too late, closing manager and driver are out the door by 12:30.

Cons

Not enough money for gas and wages are low. They paid me 7.50 when I was in the store and 4.75 when out on delivery (you clock in and out). Spend about 70% of time on the road so it's a rip off. Used to be a flat $6.00 wage which was better

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the drivers eat free pizza, they get hungry and will generally have more energy and be more willing to do basic jobs around the store

Pretty awful place to work. Great for entry level workers and those without experience.

I worked at Papa John's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

~Easy to get a job in the store with no experience.
~On good days the driving position will pay better than any manager position will at 90% of other jobs.
    ~Small workplace.
~Oven duty and make-line will probably make you buff.
~Awesome employee discount, 50% off any item. Bad orders will often be sitting around by the end of the day for everyone to share. This job will never leave you hungry!

    Cons

~Incredibly loud, hot, and stressful place to work. Busy hours are hell.
~Corporate walk-throughs usually result in an efficient workplace being ruined and reassembled into what PJ's corporate seems to think is "efficient."
~Many rude customers, that is to be expected in the pizza business though.
~Your uniform will have a permanent sweat and dough smell by the end of the first month. You will come home smelling like this every single day after work.
~Air inside the store is filled with the powder that prevents dough from sticking. It sticks to your clothes, skin, and gives you terrible allergies as well.
~Cleaning the store is perhaps some of the hardest cleaning you will ever do. Pizza stores get INCREDIBLY dirty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow employees to arrange the make-line and oven areas in a way that will allow them to work efficiently. Just because you think it works, doesn't mean it does.
