Upper management is completely out of touch and implement policies which hurt the company and their employees.

    Pros

If you can tolerate having the life squeezed out of you:
and you enjoy being a driver, money is OK.
and you are a manager and you bonus (they will do everything they can to squeeze that out of you as well), money is good.
There is no good reason to be a shift leader or in-store.

    Cons

Working your rear off for a company that pays lip service to but does not truly value its employees.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees! Not with platitudes, but with a cut of the store profit and sales. Schnatter is proud of what he accomplished and rightly so. However, the policies of the company do not reward the dedicated, hard-working, and competent employees the company relies upon. Instead of reality, the focus is on stock valuation, gimmicks, and image.
Managers should bonus of off monthly store profit (15% maybe). That is it. If a manager is doing poorly, give him his bonus (if earned) and get someone in there who can do better.
Assistant managers should be brought back. Whoever thought eliminating assistant managers at the store level was a good idea should be fired. Bonus (10% maybe) and treat them like managers above.
Shift leaders and in-stores should bonus off of sales (2% maybe) while they are on the clock.
Drivers should have their wages restored. Quit trying to squeeze every nickel and dime out of your customer level employees! Think about it. What kind of culture are you creating??? If you are hard up for money, squeeze middle and upper management. From what I have seen they bring little to no value to the business at the store level. It is really sad to see people getting paid so little for doing so much at the lower level, while those at the top come up with so many ridiculous ideas and get paid so well comparatively.
