    Pros

Cute products and crafts, since the items the store sells are fun, it is easier to engage customers.

    Cons

As a seasonal sales associate you do not get many hours (approximately 8 hrs/week) and the shifts could be pretty short (like only three hours).

I have been working at Paper Source full-time

    Pros

I have found PS to be a very "humanistic" company-- they are flexible, friendly, and really stick their necks out to find a way to keep people in their jobs even when unforseen circumstances (say, illness or injury) might threaten it. There's a lot of "bleed-over" into other departments and responsibilities... no day is ever the same. Nearly everyone is very friendly or just minds their own business. Very mellow, low-key and artistic atmosphere. A fair discount if you are into crafting and want to buy their very enticing products! A good deal of flexibility in schedules and work arrangements as well. This has been a very "easy" and enjoyable company to work for!

    Cons

The company is growing very quickly, and with that there is a certain degree of disorganization. This disorganization is always being examined and looked at, but there doesn't seem to be the time to really "excavate", re-align, all the things that would make work flow, well- flow. Enhanced opportunity to work from home, work-share or work part-time would be a bonus, as would some kind of child care, but many companies don't have those perks, so it is what it is.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perhaps contact an outside organizational consulting firm to figure out how to make things more organized. On the other hand, I like pretty much everything else the way it is, so... better the devil you know than the devil you don't!
