    Pros

A large company giving opportunities to work (sometimes interstate) on projects for various industries - Rail, Oil, Gas & Power companies, Defence etc giving you the ability to understand and gain experience from those industries and therefore improve your résumé / cv. Interesting work and challenges. A colourful array of staff, very tolerant. People given senior positions based on ability - regardless of age, sex, skin colour or orientation.

    Cons

Recent merge with BB has pushed for a more aggressive focus on billability Staff are being pushed and pulled in different directions (states) and morale and respect at PB has suffered. Silo mentality present throughout.and a respected PA in Melbourne was made redundant because of this in 2012 leading to a lot of anger from staff. Its well known that In 2011-2012, many employees (in our Melbourne office) of various positions have been made redundant and a greater number are still resigning. Other state offices have also been affected by this to various degrees. People who have resigned have said that PB has lost its focus, doesn't care for its staff and want more stability. Staff have been replaced with those on lower rates and many graduates have joined.

    Advice to Management

Senior staff need to understand that they can't take their employees for granted. They take the time to listen, as they have to under our 'ethical values' but then simply brush out viewpoints aside and carry on as if no one said anything. Don't the resignations mean anything to you?

    Pros

A good professional working atmosphere that encourages innovation, thought leadership and achievement.

    Cons

Lacks the support and direction from senior management to fully prosper in the Australian market place.

    Advice to Management

Consider the medium and long term strategy of the group rather than achieving short term goals
