    Pros

Great mission, smart / engaging colleagues, unique challenges being a big healthcare system

    Cons

Not a ton of room for growth, some small groups are working on innovative things but sometimes the work can be mundane (although meaningful)

I have been working at Partners HealthCare full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

It affords a VERY lax lifestyle. You can work on a plethora of things outside of your normal work day. The culture is such that everyone is always so "busy" when in reality most everyone is still out of the door by 4pm at the latest.

    Cons

If you actually want to do work, you can become bored out of your mind.
The culture tends to breed incredibly passive aggressive communication styles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more non-clinicians (aka, process experts) in management positions. Doctors and clinicians are typically not great business people, not great technologists and are the worst patients.
