    Pros

They provided state of the art macbooks and ipads. They provided me with a cutting edge internet education.

    Cons

Start up that is on the way down - no organization, no product recognition by customers, terrible pay scale. Management were very condescending.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't tell your advertising sales people that they will make 6 figures when they barely make 4.

    Pros

Headquarters has start up feel and fun events.
    Owned by AOL.
Used to have some great talent before restructuring

    Cons

    Everything else.

Micro-management to a whole new level, by middle managers, as well as executives.

On your interview, they act like you will have freedom to "run own business" this couldn't be farther off, every task you do is directly managed, tracked, and then you have a conference call to review all and make sure you follow to a tee.

Lost sight that they recruit professionals, I've had internships that I've had more freedom to excersise insights and provide knowledge base.

Outside Middle managers let emotions run actions

Goals unrealistic, and do not come through on bonuses promised.

    Job expectations change quarterly

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust the employees you hire. If someone is performing, allow them to grow independently.
Back off micro management, all good people will leave.
Be confident in your product, if managed correctly it could be great.
