I worked at Paychex full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Paychex has excellent training and pays pretty decent. It will look great on a resume and can open doors down the road!

Cons

Too many divisions and salespeople from each division do not always see eye to eye.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management needs to get on the same page in regards to the different divisions working together from a sales standpoint.

I worked at Paychex as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

They have a positive atmosphere and make a clear effort to show appreciation to their employees.

    Cons

The work was boring, and there's really no way around that. I happened to be doing data entry so other positions may be better, but for what I was doing it wasn't enjoyable. The cubicle setup was very isolating and not very stimulating. I was at one of the offices in Rochester, and it felt like a big warehouse - there were no windows from the office, just a big one-story building with florescent lighting and gray cubicles.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A more collaborative environment would be helpful.
