Pros

I would say that the biggest pros about working with the Peace Corps were that it was a great experience, the training was very thorough, there was international travel, and the benefits were great.

Cons

The pay was not very high, although that's to be expected and not many people who join the peace corps need a large salary.

    Pros

You have lots of freedom to control your own work schedule and what projects you do. You will meet amazing people and have amazing experiences and learn a lot about life. You actually do make a difference.

    Cons

Sometimes the communities just want money or English lessons. You will be poor and lonely and homesick and it will be tough.

    Pros

Chance to explore places that aren't on a tourist man. Opportunity to really engage with and impact the local community. Peace Corps supports you, but also offers lots of autonomy.

    Cons

Depends on the individual, but it can be a very isolated and lonely experience. A volunteer is still only one person with limited resources, so change and impact can sometimes be frustrating or slow.
