    Pros

The experience of living in another country and culture is great. I retired early in order to have other experiences while I am still young enough. I am glad I took the chance.

    Cons

Working in another culture can be frustrating. They say you need to be flexible to be successful in PC, and they are right!

    Advice to Management

Countries are different. Cookie cutter policies can be problematic. Allow country directors more freedom to set policy.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Peace Corps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Exposure -Experience you'll never forget -Freedom to come up with any project you like -Feeling of having full capability to contribute and make a difference

    Cons

-Not enough monitoring of projects -Needed more involvement from management to ensure volunteers can contribute their best. -Not sure how helpful it is for your career but at the end of the day, it is what you make of it.
