Current Employee - Manager in New York, NY

I have been working at Pearson full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

People really care and are trying to do what's right. People really want to do great things and educate others.

    Cons

Toxic work environment owing to destabilized, inconsistent, and contrary edicts from Pearson Upper Management. Absolute lack of focus or precision in rolling out new policies and/or procedures. Internal/external politics across the various business units, regions, and the various publishing houses now working under the Pearson banner, have lead to stagnation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company is running on ether. Listen to your people. There are people trying to make it clear how awful things are and how out of control the business is. Stop listening to consultants and big picture thinkers and listen to the people who work for you and care.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
