I have been working at Pearson full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

I've been with Pearson for over ten years and continue to look forward to many great years. Salary could be slightly improved to match current market. However, great people and great working environment are a huge plus.

Cons

Certain time-to-market based products can be overwhelming and requires everyone to pitch in as needed. However, the end results are great products for all age groups.

Not very streamlined. Ripe for some downsizing which I think is going on right now.

I worked at Pearson full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits. Flexible work hours.

    Cons

You can't get anywhere in the company unless you spend 2 years as an outside sales rep. Very narrow minded in that sense. They lose a lot of good people. There's some great sales people there but there's also a lot of dopes that get promotions because they go golfing with the boss.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start looking at more than just sales experience.

    Competitive, difficult market in transition
