I have been working at Pearson full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Fortunately most of the folks here are great to work with. Company overall is philanthropic, and helpful during natural disasters.

Cons

Lack of opportunity for vertical job advancement. Salary not competitive in today's market. Currently a general feeling of unrest due to the many recent changes.

I worked at Pearson full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Large company with lots of opportunity to move around both in businesses and around the world.

    Cons

Trying to move their employees to "A" players but going about it all wrong.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't penalize the outstanding employees when you can't deal effectively with the ineffective employees. The good ones are leaving - there is no going up so they have to go out.
