I have been working at Pearson full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours and work from home; good for working parents; opportunities in many different specialties; fun, dedicated co-workers; a lot of women in leadership roles; many teams take advantage of summer hours programs where summer Fridays end at 1 pm.

    Cons

Promotions and raises are difficult to come by; hard work isn't always rewarded; feels like a "corporation" in a lot of ways because positive changes are slow to occur and negative ones happen in the blink of an eye; there's a work-all-the-time culture

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes it feels as if hardworking people are taken for granted. Promotions and raises need to be easier to obtain.
