I have been working at Pedernales Electric

    Pros

The employees are friendly and helpful to customers and each other. Many positions offer a 4-10 schedule. There is usually a small bonus at the end of the year.

    Cons

The board and management do not care for the employees at all. They only want to reduce costs, by forcing retirements, slashing benefits, and shedding employees. Meanwhile, they are paying their managers $169,000 to $300,000. Vengeful and petty managers have most employees walking on eggshells.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is a waste of time to provide feedback to leadership at PEC. They will not listen, and will likely fire you.

    Pros

The employees are some of the most giving, wonderful people.

    Cons

Management displays inability to make competant decisions and be accountable for their actions. Deliver solid, written requirements to the staff. Board of Directors seem more interested in making Managers squirm under pressure instead of getting true business done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask for details from the Board. You jump too high without asking if you even needed to jump. Create a proper PMO to find actual cost savings.
