I have been working at Peet's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The Peet's that I work at has been around for a long time. It is a neighborhood store with free parking. The location is very interesting because you get diverse customers in the Mission District of San Francisco. It is nice to be offered to take home some free coffee and tea every week.

    Cons

The amount of work that Peet's expects from you as an employee is ridiculous compared to what they pay their employees. I have a strong dislike how each individual store is responsible for creating events or finding new tactics to bring customers in. That is why there is a Sales and Marketing Department for this Company, they are responsible to help bring in business. Home Office is not in tune with the flow of business so it creates unrealistic business standards and expectations when setting their budget and overall projection of growth for retail stores. Also, their training programs suck. You pretty much have to learn on the spot in the moment and learn from all your mistakes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most managers are forgiving about taking so time off, so that is a non-issue.
