    Pros

    Reasonable pay, reasonable benefits. Excellent opportunity to develop on-the-fly decision making skills, customer service and negotiation experience, and get exposure to a variety to the B2B as well as B2C business environments.

    Cons

    Extremely demanding and stressful, fast-paced, work environment. Very little support/guidance/training from upper-level management. Terribly outdated workplace technology with a high impact to the business processes - ie. poor reporting and business intelligence capabilities. Somewhat limited upward mobility.

    Advice to Management

    Evaluate modernizing your information technology - especially to gain on the fly visibly to vehicle inventory levels to empower the people "on the counter" and reduce the legal risk that comes from processes that are still based on printed paper. Focus on empowering employees career development - don't hold them back from future opportunities and advancement based on your local staffing needs! Try and understand the future career goals of capable and help them find future roles within Penske that are a good fit for them as well as the company. Consider that employees will simply look elsewhere for those opportunities if they feel they are being ignored.
