Pros

Authoria has a great product offering and the developers really care about the product.

Cons

No training is given to salespeople to help them learn about the product, position the product, and how Authoria is different than the competition. Management expects salespeople to just sell without any of the critical tools to make them successful. There is no common messaging and no competitive intel. Consultants are run ragged so salespeople often have to handle meetings themselves or by phone.

Advice to Management

Understand how Authoria is different; create consistent messaging; provide accurate competitive intel and create a system to ensure that everyone in the company knows this information.

    Pros

Veteran Sales and Account Management leaders have added a team of veterans whose efforts are paying off in market visibility, new customers, and retention of existing customers. The team is increasing coverage in all markets and the momentum achieved is communicated effectively to the organization. The first half of 2015, and particularly the second quarter of 2015 have been a great time to be at PeopleFluent.

    Cons

Market perception remains out of synch with the positive reality of the business. Too often the wrong story about PeopleFluent is portrayed by people who don't have real knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Continue the investments that are driving sales momentum. Continue hiring plan that has brought great sales talent to the PeopleFluent business that, in turn, tells the market the right PeopleFluent story. Continue to promote the team wins and momentum internally and externally to reinforce the great things about the culture.

    Pros

This company is on a great trajectory! New senior management is fantastic, very transparent, and investing heavily in employees. The change in culture in just a few months has been amazing. As a result, we are bringing in some incredible new talent (mostly former SAP) who bring a new level of professionalism to the organization, people who want to build something. The sales quotas are very fair and the comp plans the best in the industry. Opportunity to make great money here is very real! The product is solid and the majority of customers (we have many blue chip brands) are happy, which is rare in the SaaS world.

    Cons

Still some outdated policies and processes that need to be fixed around travel and expenses, but these are minor. Sometimes too much focus on tracking the wrong data in CRM as data quality improves. Too many approvals needed for pricing, etc in every day deals. Some pricing seems relative to the market.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the positive momentum! Continue to listen to employees, be flexible and creative in dealing with customers. Remove outdated policies that everyone agrees are wrong - why wait?
