I worked at PeoplePerHour full-time (more than an year)

Pros

PPH had a lot of good people working there when i was an employee. There was good cooperation between us, even if the management was very bad.

Cons

The management didn't appreciate the employees. Minimum working hours per day 9.5 + some weekends with no extra compensation. They were easily firing people, especially those who weren't legally entitled of compensation. Constant pressure. Bad organization. Company plan and goals changing every now and then. Non-reliable.

I worked at PeoplePerHour full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The work was very varied; I learned a lot about a wide variety of areas of the business.

    Cons

The expected working hours were unreasonable and did not make the product better; there was very much a problem of "presenteeism". Standing meetings would go on for over an hour, with no defined aims or end in sight. The CEO would often publicly and loudly humiliate the employees, which created a fearful, blame based culture. Obviously the loud and public humiliation was also unpleasant.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to start treating your employees like they are people who matter.
