Looking more to the outside for talent than promoting from within -- great if you are applying

Cons

Noticeable decrease in total pay by decreasing benefits the last several yrs -- 401K, bonus, elimination of sharepower

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

sales at store positions csn be rewarding and enjoyable but demanding of your time. Earnigs can be good. Management positions are mercalous with time and the sales performance preasures. As time went by, the district job is being seen and used as a stepping stone, step up or step out

    Cons

to much micro management and very tight regimentation.no independant thinking allowed, but also demanded of you to succeed. The old catch 22

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

spend more time in the field/market and get the real business picture, and the reality of the sales job as it is now. Micro mansged to excess with very little independant thinking.

I have been working at PepsiCo part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

good money, anything over 8 hours is time and a half.

    Cons

you don't know your schedule until 16 hours before you shift starts. you are scheduled to work 8 hours and they will force you to work 12, and you don't find out until your 8 hours is finished. it is so unpredictable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

find a new scheduling system. and treat your employees better
