  1. It's not always the company, but the whiners that work there.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Pay Great Benefits "Freedom" work environment Fun building great friendships Cheap or Free uniform (shoes)

    Cons

Holidays and weekends are tough. Big push on numbers High turnover because of people with bad work ethic.

    Advice to Management

Personally get involved with the push weeks and quarter close weeks. RSR's are happy to make as much as they can but the extra support when the store says something different then what Frito is telling us is important. The biggest week I ever did on a 24' box truck was 35k and we had such a push to help the store hit their rebate. All that was missing was the direct store level to direct local district manager communication. It would make us all get along better.

  2. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Frito-Lay.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great development opportunities. Leadership in the industry on many levels. Loved the independence within guidelines that I had in all roles I had with the company.

    Cons

Difficult time managing work/life balance because of demands on time. Worked on average 50-65 hours per week. Was always thinking about work, even when at home with family.

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop strong work/life balance initiatives to improve quality of life for District Sales Leaders. I know there are things in the works on this, but job was definitely overwhelming from a work/life balance perspective.
