I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Can move up quickly. Very fast-paced. One will not get bored.

    Cons

Even the most talented can get stalled or fail here. Must be able to navigate the political channels.; one does not have to directly participate. But one does need to be aware to sidestep the land mines; this soft skill is a must-have.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Listen to your quiet ones. There are other leadership styles. The loudest or most pushy is not necessarily the one with the best solution.
    2. Walk the talk. Not all of those between the CEO and the worker bees do walk the talk.
