I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Emphasis on getting results the right way. Values employees, community, environment and results. Attracts great managers/leaders. Good place to learn and hone people management skils.

Cons

slow career growth. Many of the employees stick around for longer period of time. Because of slow growth this equates to fewer opportunities for growth.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can make a descent living and the benefits are very good.

    Cons

The management sucks. The hours are tough if you are not used to getting up early. Management allows store managers to treat you like a piece of gum on the bottom of their shoe. No support and very poor communication. Management is constantly on you about numbers no matter how unrealistic they are.

    Advice to Management

Communication and more support would go along ways.

Great experience, but the place is a sweat shop.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great brands and the people that you will get to work with are some of the brightest minds in our field. Job security is also a plus - they rarely have layoffs that impact much of the marketing department and when they do have cuts, it's usually at the upper levels.

    Cons

It's a win at all costs type of place and that means being willing to put in 12 hour workdays as junior marketer. Unfortunately, that is the norm and not the exception.

    Advice to Management

When you evaluate your employees you preach the rhetoric of people-side objectives being 50% of your review and business-side objectives being the other 50%. How about looking at employees work/life balance through the same progressive lens... you have the opportunity to so much more than a sweatshop.
