Former Employee - Driver Helper in Mesquite, TX

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (less than a year)

Pros

- Plenty of overtime
- Benefits weren't that bad

Cons

- Work 12 - 14 hour shifts with a minimum break
- No work/life ratio. I'd wake up at 4am to be there around 5, get off at 6pm, sometimes 8 depending on the amount of volume we'd have to do, go home and shower, eat, sleep, start all over again. Even though they pay hourly, which is good, it's pretty much a job for someone who soley wants money and can stick out the hours.

I have been working at PepsiCo part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay for part time work for a college student. Work alone, self reliant

    Cons

Monotonous work, not very challenging. Physically demanding, must be very attentive to body position otherwise back injuries can be easily sustained.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are very good and do not cut into your pay, the tuition assistance has been very useful for many employees, the job itself is easy and allows for you to work from home if you need to.

    Cons

Office politics play a huge role in moving into new positions, the morale has been low for a long time with cheap attempts like crappy pizza to help raise it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote people according to their abilities not their personal relationship to you.
