I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Associated with a globally recognized brand consisting of Frito Lay, Quaker, Gatorade and Tropicana, working with top notch staff!

    Cons

They will work you to death and give lip service to "Work life balance". At PepsiCo they're constantly working with unrealistic deadlines, with management taking full credit and spoils when they're met at the price of the employees' sacrifice. Top management is very unaware of the low morale as middle management does a poor job of managing execs expectations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop an ear with your employee population, they're the reason you look so great. As the market is improving you will be loosing more talent as the gains are not worth it for folks to stay on this work environment, ie professionally or personally

Creativity-crushing, encouraged "networking," not great for women.

I have been working at PepsiCo full-time

    Pros

High-powered, brilliant people working gathered in one place. Teamwork is essential to succeed. Before the move from White Plains, a beautiful campus to work at on a daily basis.

    Cons

Lack of guidance or direction for new hires, women had to adapt "bravado" in order to garner respect from male peers, women scrutinized by what they wore in the office. I landed with a terrible, self-serving manager who did not appreciate having to teach - with better guidance, probably would have learned more (and stayed!)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop caring what shoes your coworkers are wearing (and commenting loudly on it) and start working together, bonding over common goals!
