I have been working at PepsiCo full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Great people and teamwork. Competitive salary and benefits. Focus on work life balance. Stock price and company outlook. Employee rewards and recognition.

Cons

Risk of being outsourced. Aggressive cost cutting. Disconnected senior management. Poor communication from senior leadership.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more in your IT infrastructure as opposed to trying to cut costs.

  1. Great job out of school, but it is a sink or swim environment

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits, good company store
Immediately given a team to manage once you hit the floor

    Cons

Not many folks retire from the facility
Bring in college kids as managers and after a few years, they burn out or are being recruited to another company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to find a way to retain good talent instead of trying to replace with recent grads.

  2. Great pay, bad upper-level management

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great pay for a relatively easy position. Early hours, which I enjoyed- 6am-2pm.

    Cons

Don't expect to go anywhere with the company though After four years of being a top rep and having the support of my location, I had no chance of being promoted when relocating- couldn't even make a lateral transfer! If you work here, enjoy being micromanaged beyond what you would think possible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust employees more and act like they matter to the company. Constantly saying, "If you think you can find better, go ahead." Very unprofessional and, obviously, not very encouraging.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
