    Pros

Good pay, benefits, best in class product

    Cons

Long hours/quality of life, insufficient pay increases, skeleton crews, lack of opportunity for advancement

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

While the bottom line is important in business, employees deserve to be treated as people and not commodities. Therefore, it would be important to look at adequate staffing to provide employees the availability of a life outside of work year round.

Great experience as a young candidate in CPG, but work life balance is tough.

I worked at PepsiCo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

PepsiCo gives a great start to young candidates who are looking to start a career in the CPG industry. The company provides a great base of how to understand how the industry works and will have you work from the ground up. Having this type of development as a young candidate will proper you for roles that have higher responsibility later on.

    Cons

The work life balance is terrible. Expect to work 60 hours week at a minimum. The company tries to create a better work life atmosphere, but unfortunately, it does not exist. Be prepared to devote many hours to driving the business by finding every opportunity to add incremental sales back to the organization. The company does not do a good job of allowing young candidates to experience various functions of the company. If you are in sales, SC, finance, and etc., expect for you to develop in 4-5 roles before you are allowed to see another function of the organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have to find a way to provide a better work life balance. The company takes advantage of employees by running a low resource operation that drives the most profit back to the organization. Many high quality candidates leave due to work life balance.
