I have been working at PepsiCo

Pros

*Pay ok
*Great co-workers
*Opportunity to learn advanced skills
*Great campus
*Work as little as possible, and smile a lot for a promotion

Cons

*Mktg HR is not confidential, but a gossip haven
*Poor morale; once through the door, the company is not what it claims to be
*Lack of understanding of your job responsibilities by direct management
*It's already apparent that if you work hard you won't advance
*Work life balance is lip service
*HORRIBLE benefits
*Opinion in finance is not accepted- at all

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Repair the disconnect between what the company stands for and supports, and what is really happening in the everyday on campus. Finance is broken. Marketing is overworked. HR is seriously broken, and it affects the workplace. Be honest about benefits, or lack thereof. Remember, public perception begins with those who work for you!

    I worked at PepsiCo

    Pros

industry leader, quality product line, compensation

    Cons

expected to work 60+ hours per week, sometimes required to perform two full time jobs at once (run route and your job), typical day starts at 4:00 - 5:00 am and ends around 6:00 pm

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

during my employment there was not enough support help for the DSL. Having to run routes and run a district is impossible to do for any length of time.

Ok Pay, bad for the family

I have been working at PepsiCo

    Pros

They offer relatively good pay depending on the type of route and in-turn how many hours you work, the medicalbenefits are average (which in the state of CA means they're not that good in price).

    Cons

For the RSR there really is no room for advancement, there are no raises, and little reward for above average performance. This is a position where the dollar figures are everything. You have to meet the quotas and even then you receive recognition only if it is off the charts above otheres. The work schedule is not conducive to having a family regardless of the type of route you accept. You are either working very long hours Monday through Friday or you are working extremely early in the mornings and need to go to sleep long before your family. Time off for an RSR must be taken in week blocks. There are no options for a single day off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think the upper management of the divisions need to at the very least re-visit the idea of single days off for those who have families and who enjoy special occasions. Generally they need to figure out how to become a family friendly work place.

    No opinion of CEO
