Pros

The odds of getting a job here are like McDonald's...

Cons

The supervisors at the Green Bay office are terrible. They are extremely ungrateful and are incapable of following through with any requests.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't treat your officer's like they are worthless. When an officer needs a change or has a request within reason go out of your way to make sure it is met when you need them.

    I worked at Per Mar Security Services

    Pros

    This company is good for people who are tired of collecting unemployment benefits. It's a good job also if your in school. Plenty of time to do homework. While the work responsibilities range from site to site, it, for the most part falls in line with other security companies. I guess its a pro when you can go in everyday knowing what to expect.

    Cons

    Now along with knowing what to expect, you can also expect no pay increase, a benefit package not worth the fees you pay, incompetent management, and you can be expected to see shorted hours on your paycheck. Don't waste your time with trying to advance yourself within the company and improving existing policies and procedures, as Per Mar will just use them for whichever incompetent person they decide to hire in as your new boss. Yeah, expect frequent changes in management as well.....before I forget that.....don't bother to learn any names.....

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    When the client renews the contract, and additional funding is provided to accounts for employee pay increases, consider actually using such funding for that purpose, rather than padding company pockets. For doing so, you may see less turnover as a result, and perhaps a higher company morale as well. Give more advancement opportunities to existing employees rather than going outside the company. Also.....PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES! These people whether you value them or not are the backbone of your operation, and at the very least need to be compensated for their services. Not short changed.

    I have been working at Per Mar Security Services full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    There is a lot to be said for working a place that isn't going anywhere and ownership is well respected. The tenure is collectively impressive and layoffs are obsolete. Per Mar constantly gives back to the community and is very involved locally.

    Cons

    Vacation time and flexible working hours are lacking. Communication can be a challenage at any company but seems to be prominent here.

    Stay on top of your internal and external audience. Be current!
