Pros

Good holiday (25 days, with options to buy 5 additional)
Good pension
Good benefits (private health, dental and various other offers)
Ability to rise up relatively quickly through positions with hard work
Pleasant colleagues, with an active company social scene

Cons

Low pay, with the gap becoming more noticeable when compared to senior roles in other companies.
Internal tools which have no bearing on the wider industry as a whole, leaving you without the skills needed to move on and develop as a programmer.
Infuriating quantities of paperwork and procedures (partly due to the clinical trials industry) which make the nature of the work often very repetitive and tedious.

Advice to Management

Work on streamlining processes and reducing the sheer amount of paperwork, increase the pay for programmers and switch to a recognised programming language so that you open up the option to hire senior programmers whilst not making current employees feel like they need to leave if they stand a chance of having any useable skills in the wider workplace.

    Pros

A good initial stepping stone to gain insight into the clinical trial process.
Provides hands-on experience in learning how to provide good customer service.
Opportunities given to those who are persistent in applying for them.
Friendly coworkers and managers for the most part.

    Cons

Not always invested in every employee's career growth and potential. Career growth could be something improved upon since it seems there are more management than non-management options for employees.

    Advice to Management

Do make an effort to know your employees, reward them for their hard work when it is due, and support them when they are trying to figure out their career path. These things help build up employee loyalty and makes it so people would recommend those they know to work here.

  2. It's an OK company to be at.

    Pros

Good place to get experience, if you stick it out and work hard they do notice and will give you the opportunity to move up.

    Cons

There is a lot of drama as everyone is right out of college.
I've gotten turned away from Drs because of the health insurance.
The Anual pay raise is pretty much nothing or negative when you take into account the cost of living is always rising.
