Great leader in Joe Wykes, but poor sales environment, low pay

    Pros

Joe Wykes is a very charismatic, inspirational, and talented Executive, and a great person to work for.

    Cons

Inside sales is "Boiler Room"-esque. Very low pay compared to comparable inside sales positions. No value placed on work/life balance, and there were often times when you'd be questioned about missing a few hours for a doctors appointment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The sales and marketing departments need an overhaul. The whole model of paying a team of dial for dollar inside sales reps $30k a year with high turnover to uncover a few leads per month is not the most efficient way to prospect. A better way would be to invest some money in marketing so that sales reps spend their time talking to people that are actually interested in content management. You wouldn't need as many sales reps in this model - this is in fact what most companies do - invest in some air cover for their sales teams to follow up on.
