Not enough Overtime. Better communication for the lower level employees. Better communication between departments, with a better system than the one in place.

I worked at Perfect World Entertainment

    Pros

Benefits, stability (for core positions), and money. Many people who work here are married and cannot risk quitting. Those same people have a bad lifestyle--live in apartments larger than needed, eat out a lot, and generally waste money. Young professionals.

    Cons

Everything else. All of the problems of a large company (lack of creativity, learning, quantity over quality, etc.) and more. The QA teams are treated like slaves. The Engineering teams work 50+ hours a week. The workflow and communication of tasks is a mess. The feeling of taking money from kids by psychologically exploiting them.

The pace is rapid. Market market market, throw together code, release on deadlines, even if the product is incomplete or broken.

If you work here, you will do a lot of work, but none of it matters. None of it is useful. The company does not care for the individuals, just itself.

If you want to see what it feels like to work at a large company, here it is. Slave away, deprive yourself of everything, quit, and use the time wasted as an inspiration to do something more creative.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If nothing changes the company will continue to be profitable. If that is all that matters then I have no advice. But if the company had larger goals -- create something of quality, something innovative -- then senior management needs to take a break and rethink everything.

Here are some simple tips: If past projects are still incomplete, then do not begin new projects. Learn to say "No". Don't leave any code or hardware in a broken or unfinished state. Time crunching does not improve production. Allot time to individuals to allow them solve the problems themselves, which allows them to grow. Eh, you get the point. This is the same advice for any large company. You could Google "advice to management" and you'll get the same common sense derived answers.

I have been working at Perfect World Entertainment full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good work environment, good job expectation in the field of mobile games, but not for Android application development.

    Cons

Don't emphasize on game platform development. The bosses only talk about game, never care about the platform.

    Payment is not good enough.

    Heavy work pressure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention and give more resources to game platform department.
