    Pros

    - Leading physicists visit from all over the world - Profs and postdocs are top notch - Complete freedom to work on what you find interesting - Lots of resources, such as conference scheduling staff, restaurant in the building - Near University of Waterloo and the Institute for Quantum Computing, lots of interaction - Competitive postdoc salaries - Waterloo is a good town for networking with Canadian tech industry; also close to Toronto - Canada is easy to move to from other countries in terms of visa process

    Cons

    - Still forming its reputation, which may not be ideal for postdocs who want absolute top name recognition - Some turnover at the professor level, though may not be too important for postdocs who are short-term themselves - Some people find the city of Kitchener-Waterloo to be too small, but this depends on personal preference - Nearby airport is small; Toronto airport is over an hour away
