Perot Systems Architect in Bangalore (India):   (Current Employee)

Pros

1. Technical growth for the knowledge hungry
2. Lovely, peaceful campus in Bangalore, India
3. Effective Knowledge sharing and training courses
4. Commendable Rewards and Recognition programs
5. Great place to participate and enjoy cultural activities

Cons

New hires are paid a lot more than existing staff. The only way I could manage to get some decent raises in the past is by getting offer letters from other companies and threatening to leave. Sadly, it cannot keep happenning and your salary will not raise pretty much along side the industry standard curve.
Good place to stick around for a long term... but how do you compromise with the pathetic salary raises. The obvious sad choice - work here for a short term (max 2-3 years).

Advice to Senior Management

Get a better software application to "store" employees' performance ratings etc. over the past 5 yrs or so and ensure that the salary paid to such employees are satisfactory. For instance, I am doing very well here and am being recognized, rewarded, given good opportunities etc. and I want to stick around. But I am being paid very low. Recently, a guy who joined as my peer is earning a much better sal since he has changed 4 companies in 3 years. (Why was he recruited in the first place?!!!)
If your employee retention strategy is not too stringent, then please ignore my advice.
