Current Employee – been working at PetSmart full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Competitive benefits, great industry with lots of heart, strong foundation for fair wage earning, incentives for success
Cons – Difficult to grow individually, weak management structure that yields low results shy of conflict resolution, lack of support and encouragement/tendency to focus on obstacles
Advice to Senior Management – Improvement is needed throughout this industry. The constant barrage of restrictions and additional safety measures always seem well-intended, but rarely are presented in a timely or kind way. There is a need for a field position in the salon, whether it is one person for the whole company, or one per region. I would love to see a position created for this company that allowed someone to play the 'fixer' by visiting salons and improving their operations and safety awareness.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
