I worked at PetSmart

Pros

Good pay, it can be a great job if you are assigned to the right department, but if you end up in a position without adequate leadership you will have the most boring job of your life.

Cons

Was not utilized to my full potential

    I worked at PetSmart

    Pros

    every task is laid out in black and white with easy to follow directions.
    your schedule, to the minute, is set in advance.
    regularly scheduled paychecks.
    managers seem fair and accomodating.
    if employee shows steady initiative, there may be room for promotion.
    employee discounts.

    Cons

    micromanagement.
    no flex time.
    pay rate is for highschoolers, not real people trying to make a living.
    cliquish behavior among all levels of employees.
    sometimes employees willingness to work is taken for granted.
    bonuses amount to pennies on the dollar.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    know when to micromanage and know when to boost moral.
    leading by example is far superior.
