Approves of CEO

I worked at Petrofac as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

- Principal Engineers are very knowledgeable. They really help you learn everything. They take an effort to help you out if you go ask them something - The internship program was pretty structured. You get your own cubicle, a telephone, a desk, computer to work with. - They have these networking events, like Friday breakfast's and so on where you can meet people from your department The internship solely depended on how you used it. No one pushed you to do anything, if you wanted something you had to ask for it. There were interns who practically did nothing and there were interns who worked till late in the office

Cons

- HR hires only people from Lebanon and surrounding areas. - There were no rotational programs were you could get a taste of everything in the company - Overworking a few people was something I noticed here.

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Petrofac full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Salary, benefits, working hours, holidays, pension scheme. They are a fair employer, offering a very competitive package compared to others in the area. Middle managers are good, upper managers vary greatly. Strong ethical, environmental, safety and cultural values throughout the company.

    Cons

Departmental communication is not very good. Accounts are disorganised leading to disgruntled suppliers. Aberdeen treated as priority and other UK offices are an after-thought. Recent roll-out of a new Oracle system has been traumatic - poorly managed and the training was lacking.
