Its what you make off it.

Engineering Intern (Former Employee)
Sharjah (United Arab Emirates)

I worked at Petrofac as an intern for less than a year

Pros- Principal Engineers are very knowledgeable. They really help you learn everything. They take an effort to help you out if you go ask them something
- The internship program was pretty structured. You get your own cubicle, a telephone, a desk, computer to work with.
- They have these networking events, like Friday breakfast's and so on where you can meet people from your department

The internship solely depended on how you used it. No one pushed you to do anything, if you wanted something you had to ask for it. There were interns who practically did nothing and there were interns who worked till late in the office

Cons- HR hires only people from Lebanon and surrounding areas.
- There were no rotational programs were you could get a taste of everything in the company
- Overworking a few people was something I noticed here.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
