Pros

Pfizer is a huge company with many products and umlimited cash for more mergers and buy outs. The Pfizer name carries such recognition that you are immediately accepted by the medical community as legitimate.

Cons

New York headquarters is not in touch with the rest of the company. They have lost the basic tenant of Pfizer's past success - loyalty to the employees. The "Pfizer Family" is a thing of the past along with the 8 Pfizer values.
Unbridled growth was not a good thing for Pfizer.

Advice to Senior Management

Take a look at the history of the company; senior leadership were worried about the employees and not the stock price. But because the employees were so well taken care of the stock price increases and productivity increase followed naturally. Remember loyalty is a two way street and multiple layoffs do not show much company loyalty.
