Pros

-flexible hours
-management left us alone as long as we did work
-ample overtime opportunities

Cons

-meddling coworkers/supervisors
-layoffs
-people who are friends with/suck up to management always get promoted quicker
-managers often had no idea what we actually did

    I worked at Pharmaceutical Product Development full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Enjoyable and Interesting clinical trial monitoring work with challenging problems requiring troubleshooting and high level organizational skills. Regional home office based position with travel ~ 80% time.

    Cons

    Management has no clue who you are as a CRA, the turn-over rate is atrocious due to the burn out stress and the clinical team never discusses these issues, no work/life balance as travel, travel, travel is the mantra here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please learn to discuss issues with employees constructively and be honest.

    I worked at Pharmaceutical Product Development full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Due to the high turn over rate, you'll most likely get hired if you have ANY previous lab experience.

    Cons

    Basically, this company is extremely profit driven. They take on far too many contracts for the amount of resources and personnel they have. This creates and atmosphere with low employee moral and a very stressful working environment. Any employee 'senior group leader' or below pretty much spends their whole time running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take on less contracts or hire more employees and invest in more resources. Also, try harder to keep employees wanting to work for the company. The day I quit felt better than the day I got hired. That should tell you something.
