    I worked at Philips Healthcare full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Smart, kind, and collaborative people, who really care about the company's mission (evolving healthcare to improve patient outcomes and increase shareholder value). Appear to be addressing the inefficiencies that have stood in their way with their Accelerate strategy (see earnings releases)

    Cons

    Struggling to change an inefficient and bureaucratic legacy. Ongoing downsizing over last four years. Unclear whether Accelerate can reverse the decline.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Good luck. A great company that deserves success. Live up to the empowerment messaging in your Accelerate strategy and beware of your tendency toward centralization.

    The salaries are competitive for the industry.

    Marketing teams tend to disregard work estimates and expect products that perform beyond what is capable of being developed in a timely fashion.

    Be more open and transparent with your teams. Hiding information only breeds resentment and mistrust.
