    Pros

Lots of bright people working hard in a friendly environment

    Cons

Management from top down is continuously changing (CEO down thru director always in flux). Rather than deciding on a direction and sticking to it, the style is to continue to fish for new philisophies. Poor communication of intent and high lack of transparency from the management given to the people. Poor management decisions high up has cost thousands of jobs, for a cutback that is fiscally fairly insignificant compared to the benefit of success in fixing technology and packaging philiosphy in need of fundamental repairs. Foreign hires get preference over available and qualified US candidates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

same advice most Silicon Valley companies need to take: Take heed to the lessons learned by long-established American companies.

I have been working at Philips Lumileds Lighting

    Pros

A great company to gain experience in the field of high power LEDs.

    Cons

Sometimes it takes management a really long time to accept there is a problem and then going out and fixing it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just take time and really listen to the engineers and technicians who come in contact with the products everyday. They have a lot of knowledge that can and should be used by management to make their decisions.

    No opinion of CEO
