Phillips-Van Heusen Assistant Manager Retail Field in Philadelphia, PA:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Pvh is a very financially sound company, they have a great strategy of selling and marketing quality clothing to consumers in every financial category. To my knowledge PVH owes no debt and is in a position to succeed when the economy stabilizes. Pvh does provide its full time hourly management with a decent benefits package including health and dental insurance and a company matched 401k.
They also provide tuition assistance for full time employees wishing to further their education.

Cons

In the field Hourly managers do not receive any of the sales incentives that the salaried managers receive. Currently there is no program in place to reward hourly managers that are helping the store managers reach their sales goals.

Advice to Senior Management

I think the company is run by a CEO that seems to care about every employee. In the past I have heard he has expressed that every full time employee should take advantage of the company's retirement plans because he would not want anyone that has given their time to pvh to retire empty handed.
