Former Employee – worked at Phillips-Van Heusen as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Interning there was a great experience. The end of summer presentation was an amazing opportunity to present our skills and everyone was pretty friendly, open to answering questions, and willing to teach. Location on Madison Ave in NYC right by Empire State Building obviously a huge plus! Overall a great internship.
Cons – Unlike many other companies that hire college seniors for entry level positions after interning there, they hire only on an as-needed basis, so you have to wait to apply for any real positions until a month before graduation. This is a tough choice to make since even though you may want to work for the company, it's hard not to have any confirmation about a post-college job in the fall.
Advice to Senior Management – Change your entry level hiring processes to extend offers to interns they want to hire at the end of summer or in the fall semester like most other companies do
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
