Pros

Do great work for clients few want to deal with. Most people are there because they are committed and passionate about helping the alcoholic and drug addict. They are really trying to improve services. Have moved to an electronic health record. Room for advancement for good, hard working enrty or counseling positions.

Cons

Executive compensation is good--too good for how the front line workers are paid. Most of staff delivering services and managing are not well educated. Old modified therapeutic community is out-of-date model. Leadership changes in late 2012 have shifted a lot of the culture. Huge turnover.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay counselors more, hire top management with human service experience and put people in recovery and addiction experts on your board.

    Pros

The clients truly are there to better themselves, especially given their past histories.

    Cons

Management does not back clinical staff, nor does it abide by what their promotional materials say that are distributed to potential clients and their family members.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Concentrate more on what your original purpose was when founding the company. Treat clients as something more than just a paysource and help them receive the treatment they have sought out.
