In all seriousness, Pilot Corp Office may be the most demanding company in USA in management level positions

I have been working at Pilot Flying J full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great pay and benefits.
Almost everyone is friendly and pleasant to work with.
You feel at home working there pretty fast.
If you can be successful working here, you can't help but feel like an allstar.

    Cons

Very little toleration of anything but perfection
If you screw up even slightly once, your job could easily be in jeopardy. Screw up twice, heads roll with no hesitation. I've seen this happen one too many times.
In a management position at corporate which are all salaried (not hourly) positions, if you're not putting in around 60 hours/week, you likely won't make it there very long. Plus you're automatically considered a slacker. 40 hours a week is not the norm and quite frankly unacceptable there.
Get ready cause you have to live and breathe Pilot. And if you're not loyal, forget it. This is a very tightknit company.

    Pros

There are always many job opportunities. They have great tools for management to utilize. It is very fast paced.

    Cons

The reason they have continuous openings is that this company runs too tight on payroll. They burn out their employees. Management seldom has time to utilize any tools available to them. It is a study in continual crisis management. Their unwillingness to address pay necessitates hiring those that will leave shortly. Definitley not a good career stop for most. There is no family/work life balance regardless of what your told while interviewing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have exit interviews done by HR. Look to upgrade your staff by upgrading your pay! You can't attract great people with your wage scale.
