Pros

Decent benefits and a fair pay scale. Fairly liberal policy for telecommuting due to illness, family issues, doctor's appointments etc.

Cons

Very little communication from upper management especially after the acquisition of Birdseye. Too many chiefs and too few Indians. Lots of layoffs and movement of jobs. General feeling of unease.

Advice to Management

Please make sure all employees are aware of changes occuring within the company especially concerning their own jobs. Several positions have been changed or completely removed with no warning after assurances from management that said employees were "safe" in their current position.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

A lot of good people who genuinely seem to like each other. When things work as they should, they work really well. New CEO seems to have some really good ideas to move the company forward. Great brands to be proud of.

    Cons

Too many people giving orders, not enough to execute them. Everyone feels overworked and under appreciated. The morale since the merger is in the toilet. Expectations that you are married to the company. HR doesn't seem to care about the employees or their sense of happiness or place in the company. Promotion and bonus structure is more tied to who you are "in" with than actual work accomplishments. Annual reviews seem like a time to tear down rather than build up. If economy was better, all the good employees would be long gone.

    Advice to Management

You have a lot of good people, treat them as such. Upper management needs to know they are people just like the rest of us. Equality should be key. Stop cost cutting and invest in your biggest asset: your people!
