I have been working at Pinterest full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    · Mountains of data to explore and process
    · Solid infrastructure and tools
    · A product that people love and a company that nurtures it
    · Organized on-boarding process gets you up to speed quickly
    · Full of refugees from Google, Facebook, and other top tech companies. You learn from the best tech has to offer
    · Lots of new graduate hires to give you a fresh perspective and keep you grounded
    · Weekly Q&A with Ben isn't some canned event where questions are pre-selected and vetted to avoid uncomfortable questions. It's a town hall meeting where citizens can speak directly to the mayor. Authenticity is valued here
    · Meaningful equity

    Cons

    · The chairs kind of suck
    · Can be overwhelming when you first join

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    · Don't lower standards just to meet hiring quotas
    · More events for new hires that didn't intern. Interns get a great planned-out experience that lets them forge bonds across the company. Full time employees that didn't intern would benefit from similar "mixer" events

I worked at Pinterest as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

The project I worked on was an awesome with great impact. The people here especially your managers are always willing to help and balance your goals with the companies goals so that both sides are happy.

    Cons

The company is still underdeveloped and young and on top of that the company is growing super fast. As a result, a lot of things are not set in stone such as promotion cycles, "how to get approval for new design", etc.
