I worked at Pioneer Natural Resources

Pros

There were about two or three amazing people. However, senior executives are all trying to stab each other in the back to gain seniority.

Cons

Senior Management - Corporate Culture

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure out who is in charge - assign areas of responsibility so there is no confusion.

I have been working at Pioneer Natural Resources full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Awesome 401K benefits. Flextime work schedule. Yearly bonuses and stock options. Onsite medical clinic. Good vacation & paid sick leave amounts.

    Cons

Poor management in Field Operations. Going through a change in focus currently by shifting focus to horizontal drilling. No longer a "family" atmosphere. Promise of raise and promotion never came through.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More communication and attention on your top money making office! Don't have a Field Operations Manager that has no people skills! Very sad when you can say good morning to the man and he looks at you like you have the plague! Realize that you have a problem when you have employees that have worked for the company for 20-30 years leave due to how you are running the company.
