Succeeding in sales if difficult because the product (postage related) is dying, but the people are nice.

I have been working at Pitney Bowes

    Pros

Great benefits, Ability to make your own day (as long as you're in by 9 and out by 5), Nice people.

    Cons

Very hard to make quota because of dying market. Average age of the company is above 50 I would say. Upper management seems set in their ways and doesn't want to change. Hardly any young people. Low salary and almost impossible to hit the planned commission. Morale is really low and I don't know how they will get it back up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some youth in their! Get some products that people want! Make goals more realistic and reachable. Pay better. Stop laying off everyone!

I have been working at Pitney Bowes

    Pros

The people are good to work with.

    Cons

Pay is low, raises are minimal to non-existent. They moved everyone in Shelton up to Danbury with no compensation for the longer, more expensive commute. No job security -- the work force has been cut drastically in the past few years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sell a few really good products instead of the jumble of so-so things that aren't selling.
